Denver Fertility’s IVF Lab offers a comfortable environment for patient procedures combined with latest technology advancement’s in lab design to ensure a successful treatment outcome.

Fully Accredited Lab By The Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations

Denver Fertility is an officially accredited IVF laboratory. For those of you who may not know, The Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations [MOU1] (JCAHO / TJC) is an independent organization that certifies and accredits health care programs in the United States. TJC sends professional inspectors to laboratories across the country to ensure that their staff, facilities, and procedures meet the exceptionally high standards of TJC which greatly exceed the regulations set forth by state and federal government. There is no requirement for IVF labs to be accredited, however, we feel strongly that accountability to a third-party organization is a core component towards conveying our commitment to exceptional quality to our patients.

LifeAire Filtration System

Denver Fertility was just recently recognized by LifeAire as a center of excellence. Air quality is often an underemphasized aspect of the embryo culture system. It has been demonstrated time and time again that embryos can be negatively impacted from pollutants in the laboratory air. They simply grow better when they are in a protected environment. LifeAire was designed with IVF in mind. The ability to remove pollutants such as airborne microbes and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from the lab is of critical importance.

Increases in clinical pregnancy rates and corresponding decreases in loss rates in IVF are direct results of the capability of the LifeAire System to remove 99.99% of all known pathogens from the ambient air and outside air serving the laboratory environment.

Embryology Lab Director Bryan T Kloos, PhD HCLD

Dr. Kloos is an accomplished and well-respected scientist, embryologist, and laboratory director with over 20 years of experience in the field of Human Reproduction. He is a renowned expert in all aspects of clinical IVF, Andrology and Tissue Banking with a special emphasis on Laboratory Quality Control, Quality Assurance and Total Quality Management, all critical elements to attaining consistently high pregnancy rates.  He is also sought out by leading edge biotechnology firms in the reproductive medicine space for his expertise in scientific study design as it relates to improving fertility outcomes.

Dr. Kloos earned his PhD degree from the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and has worked at many large and successful IVF practices including the Fertility Centers of New England where he was the Embryology and Andrology laboratory supervisor and Park Avenue Fertility where he served as the Laboratory Director. Dr. Kloos had his scientific work presented in both national and international conferences.  In his spare time, Dr. Kloos enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors with his Family and Friends.

Senior Embryologist Matt Wilson

Matt graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  It was during his time at K-State where he developed a real interest in pursuing a career in Embryology.  Matt has been around Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) most of his life, as his father started working in human IVF in the early 90’s. He began his career in Embryology in 2014 and has since had experience working at high volume successful labs. Matt enjoys the science of IVF/ICSI and the challenges it can present. He feels it’s incredibly rewarding to know that he is helping patients achieve their dreams of having a family.

Laboratory Manager Karla Waggener

Karla's interest in embryology started at an unlikely place...the zoo. Karla worked as a zookeeper after graduating from Centenary College of Louisiana with a BS in Applied Science. She attended a lecture about assisted reproductive technology being used for exotic and endangered species and decided to join the graduate program of one of the speakers.  She went on to earn her Masters of Science degree in Animal Science from LSU while interning at the Audubon Center for Research of Endangered Species. She decided to give human embryology a try when a former student of her program needed a new embryologist, and she fell in love with the career.  She has worked at both large and small clinics for over 25 years. She has found that she prefers the more personal approach at a smaller clinic and enjoys the higher level of patient care and interaction the Denver Fertility Care is known for.
