Denver Fertility Success Rates
Since the inception of our state-of-the-art Denver Fertility embryology laboratory, our team has paved the way to successful pregnancies for so many couples! The Denver Fertility laboratory has been incredibly fortunate to see all our hard work pay off. Since opening in October of 2018, we have achieved success rates well above the national average. To ensure the highest results, our team methodically designed the lab to be the most optimal environment for your embryos.
A successful pregnancy was the utmost goal during installation of our incubators, microscopes, and the industry leading LifeAire purification system.
With the joint efforts of our clinical and laboratory teams, Denver Fertility is excited to continue raising the bar with our laboratory’s ongoing success.
At Denver Fertility, we hold ourselves to the highest recommended standards of excellence. These benchmark statistics greatly exceed the minimum “competency" rates for a laboratory (a lower standard used by many clinics). Each month, we are consistently out performing our benchmarks for fertilization rates (>80%), successful biopsy rates (>95%), and implantation rates (>60%) to name a few. However, what really speaks to our success is the established pregnancies at the end of the patient’s fertility journey and, better yet, all the babies that are taken home from the hospital!
Reporting
Reporting of our success rates to the CDC is federally mandated in order to protect patient safety; however, Denver Fertility also submits to an additional organization called SART (the national Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies). This second layer of accountability allows for scrutiny of data and to ensure honest reporting. Regrettably, this is a public service that CDC is unable to perform due to legislated budget restrictions.
One additional measure of success tracked in our laboratory is our “Euploidy Rate” (# Genetically Normal Embryos / # Embryos Biopsied). Factors affecting euploidy can include stimulation protocols, laboratory techniques, and embryo culture systems but by far the most influential factor is the patient’s age.
Inside The Success Rate Numbers
Attempting to compare success rates between different laboratories is a very difficult and confusing task.
A comparison of clinic success rates may not be meaningful because patient medical characteristics, treatment approaches, and entry criteria for ART may vary from clinic to clinic.
These different reporting variations may inflate or lower pregnancy rates relative to another clinic. It is important to look beyond the success rate statistics and determine what clinic best suits you based on your personalized care plan. During your initial consult, our physicians Dr. Bruce Albrecht and Dr. Dana Ambler at Denver Fertility will be more than happy to help you understand how your individual needs aligns with the often-ambiguous statistics.
No Cherry- Picking
As stated above, at Denver Fertility we have a "no-cherry picking policy," we do NOT inflate our success by strictly selecting patients, and not allowing certain groups to proceed with treatment. Excessive selection of patients based on factors such as advanced age, low anti-Mullerian hormone levels, BMI, or medical history is generally discussed as “cherry picking” patients. Cherry picking can be used to skew success rates in a positive direction; however, many patients find themselves in a grey area without sufficient care options, or are told that donor eggs are their only option for success.
At Denver Fertility we don’t cherry pick our patients. In fact, we welcome the most difficult cases, including those that have failed to have success elsewhere
Our team will do our best to accommodate your needs, accurately predict your personalized success rate and allow you to choose the option that is best for you.
We are accommodating to a variety of patients' needs even in the face of many adverse factors, which could often exclude them from treatment at other clinics.
Making IVF Affordable In Denver
Unfortunately, Denver Colorado has been one of the most expensive cities for fertility treatment in the world. Denver Fertility strives to make In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) more affordable with the goal to help more people achieve the family that they so desperately desire. Our efforts to drive down the cost of IVF allow our patients to save thousands of dollars and have “top of the line” IVF care in a state-of-the-art lab. Most importantly, we have achieved the goal of making IVF more cost effective without compromising on our patients’ success.
